The 4 C’s are the four factors that determine a diamond’s quality: carat, color, clarity and cut.
Carat: one carat equals 0.2 grams and 100 points. It’s the standard unit of weight and generally in size.
Color: measured from D (River) to Z. D being the purest white and as you go further down, the diamond gets a yellowish hue.
Clarity: the amount and size of impurities inside a diamond.
Cut: a diamond’s shape and the quality of that shape. It’s the only C that can be influenced by the diamond polisher.
